    Grooved Billed Ani

this photo is more for proof of seeing this bird than it is for printing. i saw him on Clay Island in Central Florida. here in the states, they're normally only seen in Texas when the cross over from Mexico. for some reason a pair of them veered off course and landed smack dab in the middle of Florida. birders are flocking there to see them..haha..pardon the pun. it's especially convenient for birders in the southeast..it saves them a drive to the Lone Star State. taken January 2017

    Cat's Eye

watching this Bobcat hunt was a great experience. i think what was the most amazing to me was how he acted just like any other cat out in someone's yard stalking a butterfly. however, he was about 3 times the size of a regular cat. their heads are some oddly large and beautiful. definitely one of my favorite animals.

  • Grooved Billed Ani

my photos of the Ani is more for proof that i saw it than it is for printing. see my former post of this bird for information on where i saw it and how odd it is that i saw it where i did....Florida.

i'm not sure what caused it but, the darker it got, the more the greens in the water turned into a turquoise blue. it even looked like it was glowing when i stood in the right spot. North Shore, Lake Apopka

  • this is the first gator i've ever walked up on out in the middle of nowhere and alone. it wasn't the greatest feeling in the world. i was told by the locals that they don't move around much in January. i'd never hike that trail alone in warm weather.
